About Suzy's Black Bear Cabin Rentals


At Suzy's Black Bear Cabin, there are two bedrooms upstairs, a master bedroom offers a king sized bed and a second bedroom with a queen sized bed. There is a full bath upstairs. The loft bedroom with a double bed overlooks the living room. The rustic living room has a wood stove, TV, VCR and a greenhouse window with a view of the stream, where you could even spot a Black Bear walking outside amongst other wildlife. Also a cozy fireplace area and dining area.

There is a half bath off of an open kitchen which has microwave, 4 slice toaster, dishwasher, stove, refrigerator and auto drip coffee maker. Our fully equipped kitchen has all your cooking and eating needs( except your food). Relax on the screened in back porch with cook out grill ( a charcoal smoker). Also you can enjoy the scenery on our large front deck You can also take advantage of the campfire area with a picnic table, a stone grill and hammock, perfect for those lazy afternoon naps.

Boating, fishing and swimming possibilities are endless in the stocked streams and seven lakes nearby, white water rafting, canoeing, and tours with lookouts offer 40 mile views of the beautiful local foliage, sportsman can enjoy excellent hunting in this area as well as for the golfer; golfing at the Tioga Country Club offers an 18 hole, 4 star course, .

Wellsboro, Tioga County seat, with it's quaint gas lit boulevards is a town of beauty with it's well-kept homes, spacious lawns, and stately trees. It's quiet, peaceful atmosphere is a wonderful place to visit while staying at Suzy's black Bear Cabin.

Winter sports nearby include: downhill and cross-country skiing, ice fishing and skating. Hunters track the abundant wild turkeys, black bear and white tailed deer in the 500,000 acres of forest in the PA Grand Canyon.

Each year an outstanding event is the PA State Laurel Festival. Mountain Laurel is Pennsylvania's State flower. this festival is held in June during blossom time. Other major events include the Susquehannock trail PRO Rally, The Tioga County Fair, Homecoming Harvest and Dickens of a Christmas.
